Bees: insects vital to our survival
Bees play a vital role in the ecosystem in pollinating plants; without bees, many plants would not be able to produce fruit or seeds.
Bees play a vital role in the ecosystem because they are responsible for most of the pollination of plants. They seek nectar from flowers for food, and pollen grains attach to their bodies.
When bees move from flower to flower, pollen moves between flowers, fertilizing the reproductive cells of plants and enabling them to produce seeds and fruits.

Bees live in organized colonies with a well-defined division of labor. Each bee colony consists of a queen, worker bees and male bees, called drones.
The queen is responsible for reproduction, while worker bees perform tasks such as collecting food, cleaning the hive and caring for the larvae.
Worker bees collect nectar from flowers and transport it to the hive, where it is processed into honey through a process inside their glands. Honey is stored inside the combs as a food source for the colony.

There are different species of beesbut the most common and well-known are honey bees (Apis mellifera). These bees are social, live in organized colonies and are commonly kept by beekeepers for the production of honey, beeswax and other products.

As I mentioned in my article May, the third month of the spring season ) il World Bee Day is celebrated on May 20 and is an opportunity to raise awareness about the importance of bees and promote actions to protect them.
Unfortunately, bees face several threats that threaten their survival. These threats include climate change, overuse of pesticides, habitat loss due to deforestation and urbanization, and diseases and pests that affect bee colonies.
Protecting bees and promoting sustainable agricultural practices are becoming increasingly important to preserve ecosystems and ensure food production.
Many organizations and individuals are actively engaged in bee protectionPromoting the adoption of more sustainable agricultural policies, reduction in the use of harmful pesticides, creation of habitats for bees and raising awareness of the importance of bees to our survival.
Before saying goodbye, I would like to remind you that for those who would like to lend their support in defense of biodiversity and save bees, two links are available: Adopt-a-Bee – Save the bees.
